Tammy Conatser, O.D. was born and raised in Indiana. She received her B.S. in Geology and her M.A. in Biology. She relocated to Houston, Texas in 1991 and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1995. She completed additional training at UHCO by completing a Family Practice Residency under the mentorship of Danica Marrelli, O.D. She then completed a Senior Residency program under Nick Holdeman, O.D., M.D. As part of her Senior Residency experience, she was able to follow David Coats, M.D., a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at Baylor College of Medicine.
Following her residency training, she joined the Conroe Woodlands Eye Clinic practice. She worked with C. Downey Price M.D., Mark Jenkins, M.D. and Susan Fish, M.D. for 14 years. During that time, she also served as an External Site Associate Professor for The University of Houston College of Optometry External Clinical Program.
From 2011-2014, Dr. Conatser relocated to Melbourne Australia for three years with her husband and children for a wonderful international adventure.
Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Conatser joined HEA, working primarily in the Woodlands office. She is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She enjoys practicing Primary Care Optometry and seeing patients of all ages but especially loves working with children.
Dr. Conatser has participated in many Benevolent Mission International medical mission trips to El Salvador, Fiji and American Samoa.
She resides with her husband, Kent and twins, Ian and Macey in Willis, TX.
